Project launch: 2022
During the last two years, the S-CLEVER study investigated how head teachers at general education schools in Germany, Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland met the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. By means of online questionnaires, we were already able to gain important insights.
In this follow-up study S-CLEVER+, we interrogate which questions are still relevant to the schools in the school year 2021/2022 and how sustainable the impulses of the pandemic period are. In this way, the overview of these developments gained through the study can provide insights into the fields in which challenges continue to exist, which new challenges have arisen and how these can be approached adequately.
The follow-up study S-CLEVER+ aims to examine the experiences of schools in the third year of the Covid-19 pandemic and to discover how sustainable the impulses of the first two years of the pandemic are. The main focus is on the schools’ main challenges, their strategies and their support needs.
In the S-CLEVER study in autumn 2020, spring 2021 and summer 2021, we investigated school administrations in general education schools in Germany, Austria and the German-speaking parts of Switzerland by means of an online-questionnaire.
In the follow-up study S-CLEVER+, we will conduct a fourth online questionnaire of school administrations in the summer of 2022 in Germany and Switzerland. This study will now encompass all language regions of Switzerland.
All participants of the follow-up study S-CLEVER+ will receive a report about the results in March 2023.
