Health and the environment are important learning areas in science education and their significance is growing. They are highly socially relevant and are close to students’ interests and needs. Environment and health provide many opportunities to unlock science questions with questions that are personally relevant and inspire students to engage in science.
In the course of the on-going project well-founded perspectives are collected and discussed on how science education may benefit from challenges stemming from both health and environmental education.
