Sophie Pia Stieger is an assistant at the Chair of Educational History and Educational Policy Analysis. She is in the final phase of her doctorate at the University of Vienna, where she also completed her Master's in Educational Science. In her dissertation, Stieger examines the intersections of educational history, religious history, and disciplinary history from a historical-deconstructive perspective, specifically focusing on the emergence of psychology in a comparison between Germany and France.

Further Research Interests include: The History of Science, the History of Philosophy, Enlightenment studies, and Foundations of Education.
